Tennis Director and Club Manager
Richard is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and has been a Certified Teaching Professional since 2014. Prior to his position at Westside, Richard owned and operated River City Tennis in Elizabeth City, building tennis at all ages in the Elizabeth City community. Richard was the Head Women’s Tennis Coach at Elizabeth City State University NCAA DII CIAA for four years before he turned his attention to Westside. In early 2021 he began a new role with the club helping to oversee all operations. He loves taking care of the facility, treats the Har-Tru with the utmost care, and enjoys teaching players of all ages. His wife Lindsey is often on the courts playing, and their two children are typically the artists behind the joyful chalk art around the grounds.
“The thing that I enjoy most about my job is trying to have a positive impact on someone’s day. Everything is relative, but life is tough. Time spent on the tennis court should contribute to one’s quality of life. I do what I can to make that happen.” -R
ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor
Jenn started her personal fitness journey over a decade ago after having her daughter and never looked back! Her friends encouraged her to become a certified trainer and supported her throughout the process. Jenn is always super eager to meet, encourage, and to help motivate people toward a bigger, better, and healthier lifestyle! Her success as a trainer is easy to see each morning when our members catch their breath after class, dripping with perspiration, and sharing a laugh in the lobby. Jenn rocks!
Jessicia makes everyone feel welcome. She manages both the gym and the pool. She is dedicated to keeping our facility beautiful. Her work ethic is old school. She has finished a tough daily workout most days before the sun has risen, and keeps after it until each task is checked off her list. She is incredibly dedicated to family and friends. She loves to talk healthy food and exercise with the members and guests. She keeps the facility in top condition for everyone to enjoy. When not at Westside she enjoys RV camping, photography, and time with her hubby and fur babies. Her husband also contributes to the club in his “spare time” by keeping the grounds and fixing anything you can imagine with his endless honey-do skills.
