What does my membership include?

Full Membership includes full use of  facility: pool, fitness center, tennis and all other club amenities with no court fees, and invitations to club socials and wellness seminars. Group fitness classes are FREE for members.

Pool Only Membership – Includes use of basketball court, pool showers, sports field, and fishing pond. June through September

Do I have to be a member to visit WestSide?

No, we welcome guest to our club. Guest privileges include full use of facility including scheduled group fitness classes. You can find our current guest rates at the bottom of the Membership & Guest Rates Page.

All guests and members are required to sign a Liability Waiver to be kept on file.  You can download, print and sign the waiver here to streamline the check in process.  You can also sign the form upon arrival and check in.

Do I have to be a member to attend tennis clinics, drills, or private lessons?

No, we welcome non-members to participate in any tennis events.  We offer non-member pricing on all tennis activities. You can find current rates on our Tennis page.  You can reserve a tennis court anytime courts are available.  Non members playing with a member pay just $10/person.  If no players are members, each player pays $20.  This fee gives you access to the entire facility for the day.

All guests must check in at the front desk and pay applicable fees before they play. Tennis guest and member fees fund court maintenance and tennis programming. 

Do I have to be a member to attend group fitness classes?

No, we welcome non-members to drop in on any fitness or yoga class for $10/class.

Do I have to sign up for a long term contract?

Contracts are sold with a year term.  There are several payment options available. Contract can be cancelled at anytime before the next scheduled payment.  Partial period refunds will not be giving.

Can I suspend my account?

Yes, we understand that life happens.  You can suspend your account for a monthly fee of $10. This will push the expiration date of your contract out by the suspended time period amount.  So, for example, if you are going on vacation for 3 weeks and want to suspend your account, you can suspend your account for 1 month.  Should you want to come back before one month has passed, you will be charged a prorated fee based on the time left in the month. If you would like to suspend your account, you can call WestSide or print and email the follow form to info@westsideobx.com. Suspension is not activated until confirmation and any outstanding balance is paid in full.

How do I cancel my membership?

We understand that WestSide may not be the perfect fit for everyone.  We do encourage you to consider suspending your account for short term reasons such as vacation, illness, travel, injury, etc.

You can suspend your account for a monthly fee of $10. This will push the expiration date of your contract out by the suspended time period amount.

If suspension does not work for you, you may cancel your membership at anytime before the next scheduled payments. Cancellation request received after payment due date will be effective at the end of the current period. No partial month refunds will be given. If you decide to return to WestSide within 2 years of cancellation, there is a reinstatement fee of ($75). This fee can be avoided by suspending instead of cancelling your account.

In order to cancel your account you must fill out a Cancellation Form and email to info@westsideobx.com or deliver either in person or via mail to 101 Wimbledon Ct, Powell’s Point, NC 27966

All negative account balances for all members associated with a membership must be paid in full before membership can be cancelled. Cancellation is not activated until outstanding payment is received and confirmation notification is sent.
